Handwoven recycled silk yarn, black and white. Himalaya recycled silk yarn is made of mill end sari silk fabric. The The sari silk, by being randomly spun together, creates a silk yarn with a ragged or distressed look. There is also some soft white merino wool in the scarf.
I have woven three stripes, in the contrasting color across the the black and white scarf. In the I Ching, the 3 stripes are the Ch'ien. The name in the I Ching is The Creative, the Attribute is Strong, and the Image is Heaven. Very unique scarf and pattern.
By purchasing this product, you are supporting women's development groups in Nepal who are producing this recycled silk. They spin it into usable yarn in their own homes.
Scarf measures 56" (142cm) long and 3 3/4" (10cm) wide with 3" (8cm) fringe on each end.
Hand wash, lay flat to dry.
