Handwoven recycled silk yarn with dark gold kettle dyed wool yarn from Uruguay. Himalaya recycled silk yarn is made of mill end sari silk fabric. The colors are random with no pattern. A lot of green and orange show up in this scarf.
I have laid in the weave cut up bits of orange cotton t-shirt. Makes for a nice dash of orange here and there in the scarf. Totally unique.
By purchasing this product, you are supporting women's development groups in Nepal who are producing this recycled silk. They spin it into usable yarn in their own homes. You are also supporting Uruguayan village women who dye and spin the wool yarn in this scarf.
Scarf measures 68" (112cm) long and 4" (10cm) wide with 4" (10cm) fringe on each end.
Hand wash, lay flat to dry.
